JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – North Florida baseball is set for its 33rd season with the release of its 2021 slate, featuring 17 games at Harmon Stadium and 37 of 45 contests in the Sunshine State.
The season opens February 19, ASUN competition begins March 26 and the conference championship goes from May 21-29.
Dates, times and opponents are subject to change due to COVID-19’s impact on travel and scheduling.
“Our staff did a great job of putting together a competitive schedule despite the challenges,” head coach Tim Parenton said. “While we don’t have the preseason series against northern schools, we’ve added series against some of the best programs in the region and nation.”
Season Opener vs. Seminoles, Home Opener vs. Gators
UNF opens at No. 24 Florida State for a three-game series February 19-20, marking the first time UNF has opened the season against the Seminoles. UNF hosts preseason No. 1 Florida February 23 before going to Gainesville the next day.
UNF beat UF 7-1 in Gainesville in their last meeting, February 20, 2019. It will be UNF’s first visit to Florida’s newly constructed Florida Ballpark.
Non-Conference Swing
North Florida plays a single game Friday evening February 26 against FAU before hosting a doubleheader the next day.The Ospreys go west on I-10 to play Florida A&M March 2 before hosting Georgia Southern the next day. UNF plays three games against Georgia in Athens March 5-7.
The Ospreys and UCF Knights play a four game series March 10-14, with each team getting two home games apiece.
Home-and-Homes in the ASUN
- ASUN play begins March 26 with a three-game series at Jacksonville.
- The ASUN home opening series goes April 1-3 against FGCU.
- The longest road stretch of the year is from April 9-18. UNF will play three against Stetson, one at Georgia Southern and a round robin in DeLand featuring one game each against Stetson, Jacksonville and FGCU.
- UNF returns for three at home against Jacksonville, one with FAMU and three at FGCU to finish April.
Back to South Carolina
UNF makes its third trip to South Carolina in four years May 4 to play the Gamecocks before concluding the regular season with a three-game set against Stetson and three games in Nashville.
The Ospreys play two neutral games at Lipscomb against North Alabama and one with the host Bisons at Dugan Field.

- North Florida is in the ASUN South Division this season.
- UNF plays six games against teams ranked in the DI Baseball Preseason Top 25 Rankings
- The ASUN is split up into two divisions, the north and the south. The ASUN South Division features UNF, Jacksonville, FGCU and Stetson, while the ASUN North Division consists of Kennesaw State, Liberty, Bellarmine, North Alabama and Lipscomb.
- UNF plays 13 games against teams in the 2019 NCAA Tournament. Georgia, FAU and Florida State all played in the Athens Regional that season.
- North Florida plays nine games against Power Five teams.
- North Florida will play 14 different opponents across seven different conferences.

- Redshirt-senior Eddie Miller returns after being named a NCBWA Preseason Stopper Watch List nominee.
- UNF has three new graduate transfers in Cam Weinberger, Ethan Jones and Alex Kachler. Kachler was named a COSIDA-Division III All-American at Methodist University, while Jones collected 68 appearances, 12 saves and 126 punchouts as a reliever with Flagler College.
