There is a pretty clear top three in college baseball and you could rank them in any order based on preference. We go with Vanderbilt’s Austin Martin at three.

The highly-touted prospect out of high school was taken in the 37th round of the 2017 MLB Draft by the Cleveland Indians.

As a freshman in 2018 he hit .338/.452 with 44 runs scored, 14 doubles, 1 home run, 19 RBI, and 22 stolen bases in 59 games.

This past year he helped lead Vanderbilt to a College World Series title by hitting .407/.495 with 80 runs scored, 19 doubles, 10 home runs, 45 RBI, and 18 stolen bases.

He’s clearly one of the best speed and power combination players in the upcoming MLB Draft class after breaking out with 10 home runs in 2019 batting leadoff for Vanderbilt.

The only question for Martin is what position he will play at the next level. He’s mostly played third base and shortstop for Vanderbilt and has good range.

Wherever you put him, he’s proven that he can hit and get on base.
