Coming in at six on our list is infielder Nick Gonzales from New Mexico State.

The 5-foot-11, right-hand hitting infielder is a bit of conudrum as he’s put up gaudy numbers, but he’s done so in a place that is easier to hit home runs than Coors Field.

In 2018 he hit .347/.425 with 40 runs scored, 17 doubles, 9 home runs, and 36 RBI in 57 games played.

That summer he only played in 3 games in the Cape Cod League.

And then he put up video game numbers as a sophomore with Nex Mexico State hitting .432/.532 with 80 runs scored, 19 doubles, 16 home runs, and 80 RBI with a ridiculous slugging percentage of .773.

Keep in mind, New Mexico State had four players with a slugging percentage of .697 or better.

But then Gonzales backed it up and showed people it wasn’t his home stadium that made him such a great hitter by hitting .351/.451 in the Cape Cod League with 39 runs scored, 14 doubles, 7 home runs, and 33 RBI in 42 games.

Not only that, but he helped lead his team to the CCBL championship where he was named the team’s MVP.

The righty has a sweet, compact swing and does a great job of making solid contact and not striking out. He’s drawn comparisons to Keston Hiura who was taken 9th overall in the 2017 MLB Draft.
