A first-round draft pick by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 2018 MLB Draft, JT Ginn blessed the college baseball world by keeping his commitment to Mississippi State.
He was absolutely dominant at times in his freshman season finishing with a 3.13 ERA in 86.1 innings pitched with 105 strikeouts, a BAA of .220, and a WHIP of 1.05.
Ginn throws a fastball that sits in the mid-90s with a slider that has some late break to it, and he also throws a pretty good change-up.
His command and the ability to limit walks is very impressive when talking about the 6-foot-2 righty.
He did have some injury concerns towards the end of 2019, which has hurt his draft stock a little with scouts. But if he proves healthy and pitches to his potential, he could easily be the first college pitcher taken in the 2020 draft as a draft-eligible sophomore.
