Another big starting pitcher makes our list with Georiga righty Cole Wilcox coming in at 14.
The 6-foot-5 righty is a draft-eligible sophomore so he could be gone after the 2020 season.
As a freshman in 2019 he posted a 4.07 ERA in 59.2 innings with 64 strikeouts and a WHIP of 1.41 making 6 starts.
This past summer he made 2 starts in the Cape Cod League and struck out 10 batters in 8 innings but gave up 6 earned runs on 7 hits and 6 walks.
He also spent part of the summer with the USA Baseball Collegiate National team and posted a 2.57 ERA in 4 appearances.
As a reliever he’s posted triple-digits with his fastball, but he mostly sits 96-98 and possesses a slider and a change-up.
Wilcox was taken in the 37th round of the 2018 MLB Draft by the Washington Nationals. With the kid gloves off in 2020 we expect a big year from Wilcox and he will go much higher in the draft this time around.
