Daniel Cabrera was taken in the 26th round of the 2017 MLB Draft by the San Diego Padres but decided to play at LSU instead.
In 2018 the left-handed-hitting outfielder batted .315/.405 with 38 runs scored, 18 doubles, 8 home runs, and 54 RBI.
As a sophomore he hit .284/.359 with 40 runs scored, 12 doubles, 12 home runs, and 50 RBI with LSU.
This past summer he played 33 games in the Cape Cod League and hit .287/.369 with 20 runs scored, 5 doubles, 2 home runs, 14 RBI, and 10 stolen bases.
He’ll be one of the better power-hitting players in the 2020 draft class.
