Mississippi State shortstop Jordan Westburg comes in at 20 in our countdown after a solid sophomore season in Starkville.
As a freshman in 2018 he hit .248/.319 with 18 runs scored, 11 doubles, 2 home runs, and 30 RBI.
That summer he hit .368/.505 with 17 runs, 10 doubles, 1 home runs, 9 RBI, and 8 stolen bases in 21 games in the Perfect Game League.
In 2019 with Mississippi State he really burst onto the scene by hitting .299/.408 with 68 runs scored, 20 doubles, 6 home runs, 61 RBI, and 6 stolen bases. But he did struggle with strikeouts racking up 64 of them.
This past summer he spent time with the USA Collegiate National Team and also played 25 Cape Cod League games hitting .326/.385 with 12 runs, 6 doubles, 4 home runs, and 14 RBI.
At 6-foot-3 and 190 pounds he has the athleticism to say at shortstop. But the hit tool is what makes him such an intriguing draft prospect in 2020.
