One of the most exciting players that I enjoyed watching in 2019 was Miami shortstop Freddy Zamora.
As a freshman in 2018 he hit .303/.388 with the Hurricanes scoring 32 runs, driving in 28, and stealing 20 bases with just 1 home run.
But in 2019 he improved his power hitting 6 home runs while batting .290/.392 with 38 runs scored, 10 doubles, 39 RBI, and 11 stolen bases.
He has a big right-handed swing and plays with a lot of energy that is infectious on the team around him.
I’m not sure how high he’ll go in the MLB Draft as a small middle-infielder with average power and speed, but he’s certainly one of the best college players to watch.
