As you might imagine, Coastal Carolina has had some elite talent come through since winning the National Championship. Outfielder Parker Chavers is next on that list.
In his freshman season he hit .323/.435 with 48 runs scored, 15 doubles, 7 home runs, 42 RBI, and 9 stolen bases.
That summer he hit .239/.306 in the Coastal Plain League with zero home runs in 23 games.
But then he exploded as a sophomore with Coastal hitting 15 home runs in 56 games. He also hit .230/.435 with 54 runs scored, 9 doubles, 54 RBI, and 10 stolen bases.
Chavers backed that up with a solid summer in the Cape hitting .270/.359 with 19 runs scored, 9 doubles, 5 home runs, 18 RBI, and 3 stolen bases in 36 games.
The toolsy center fielder can do it all at the plate and in the field, making him a very intriguing prospect for scouts.
