UAlbany baseball Head Coach Jon Mueller announced the Great Danes’ 2020 schedule. The 55-game slate features a season opening trip to the University of Arizona.
“We feel that the 2020 schedule will prepare our team for the highly competitive America East conference schedule,” said Mueller. “The excitement level is high, and the five weekends building up to the conference play all offer different challenges.”
The Great Danes will open their season in Tucson, Az. when the face-off with Pac-12 opponent Arizona. UAlbany will also face opponents from the Atlantic-10, MAC, MAAC and MEAC conferences, included hosting Akron in the final home stand of the season.
UAlbany will travel to George Mason during Spring Break and make stops at Fairleigh Dickinson and Central Connecticut State on their return trip to the Capitol Region.
America East conference action will open with a 3-game weekend at rival Stony Brook (March 21-22) before returning home on March 24th to host Iona.
UAlbany will host non-conference opponents St. John’s, Iona, CCSU, Fordham, Marist, and Sacred Heart for mid-week games throughout the season.
The America East Conference Championship will be held May 20 – May 23 at LeLacheur Park in Lowell, Mass. The champion of the double-elimination bracket earns an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
