University of Cincinnati baseball has announced its schedule for the upcoming 2020 season.
The 2019 American Athletic Conference Tournament Champions will begin their 2020 campaign at the Atlanta Challenge February 14-16 where they will face Georgia State, Georgia Tech and Kennesaw State. UC will then travel for a three-game series at Florida State February 21-23.
The home-opener at Marge Schott Stadium is set for Wednesday, February 23 versus Indiana State. UC will then play host to Oakland for four games the following weekend.
After traveling to Kentucky for a midweek matchup on March 3, the Bearcats will return home to host Eastern Michgian March 6-8. They follow that with a midweek trip to Indiana and a weekend series at Kansas.
The rivalry with Xavier will renew Tuesday, March 17 and Wednesday, March 18 when UC and Xavier play a game at each other’s home park for city bragging rights. UC will then welcome UConn March 20-22 and Miami (OH) on March 25.
American Athletic Conference play resumes on the road at 2019 regular season champion ECU March 27-31 before the Bearcats travel to Louisville for a game against the national powerhouse on Tuesday, March 31.
April begins with a home series against UT Martin at Marge Schott Stadium and a short midweek trip to Miami. UC will then host USF April 9-11.
The annual Joe Nuxhall Classic will be held April 14-15 in Oxford with UC starting off the event against Wright State in the first game of the event.
The Bearcats will visit Wichita State April 17-19 before returning home for a four-game homestand. Wright State will visit Marge Schott Stadium on Tuesday, April 21 and Houston will make the trip to Cincinnati April 24-26.
When the calendar turns to May, UC goes to Tulane May 1-3 then hosts Ohio State May 6 and Memphis May 9-11 for the final home games of the year. The Bearcats will take on Wright State on the road on May 12 before ending the regular season at UCF.
The Bearcats will try to repeat as AAC Tournament Champions in Clearwater, Florida, May 19-24. The NCAA postseason will begin with Regionals May 29-31 and continue with Super Regionals June 4-7. The 2020 College World Series will take place in Omaha, Nebraska, June 15-26.
