We go to the small school of Loyola Marymount for number 60 on our list in right-handed pitcher Nick Frasso.
The California native turned in an impressive freshman season in 2018 when he posted a 3.15 ERA in 60 innings with 74 strikeouts, a WHIP of 1.15, and a save.
He made 5 starts for Loyola in 2019 but was the team’s primary closer picking up 10 saves to go along with a 2.22 ERA in 56.2 innings with 73 strikeouts and a microscopic WHIP of 0.83.
In two college seasons, he has walked just 34 batters in 116.2 innings with 147 strikeouts.
This past season he was nearly unhittable allowing just 30 hits in those 56.2 innings.
In the summer he made two scoreless appearances in the Cape Cod League, but he spent most of his team with Team USA.
We’ll see what Loyola chooses to do with him in his junior season, whether they keep as their closer or try him out as a starter.
But with that command, he’s likely to be a very high draft pick in 2020.
