Coastal Carolina pitcher Zach McCambley comes in at 65 on our list after a great showing in the Cape Cod League this past summer.
It’s been an up-and-down career for McCambley at Coastal Carolina. In his freshman season he posted a 3.14 ERA in 48.2 innings with 50 strikeouts and a WHIP of 1.44.
He went back-and-forth from being a starter and reliever in 2019 finishing with a 5.21 ERA in 67 innings with 76 strikeouts and a 1.50 ERA.
But then he went to the Cape and looked fantastic in 5 starts posting an ERA of just 1.74 in 20.2 innings with 24 strikeouts and a 1.09 WHIP.
That certainly opened up the eyes of the scouts and he’ll carry a lot of momentum into his junior season in 2020.
