Xavier outfielder Allbry Major put himself on the prospect radar after a great summer in the Cape Cod League.
As a freshman in 2018 he hit .291 with Xavier in 44 games with a .356 OBP. He also pitched 61.2 innings that year with a 4.96 ERA and 52 strikeouts.
That summer he split time between the NECBL and Cape Cod League.
In his sophomore season with Xavier he had an OPS of .829 after hitting .281 with 32 runs scored, 15 doubles, 3 triples, 7 home runs, and 34 RBI.
And this past summer he broke out by hitting .407 in the Cape Cod League with a .960 OPS in 59 at-bats.
Now he goes into the 2020 season with big expectations. But if he can continue to hit for a high average and add a little power, he could be an intriguing corner outfield prospect for scouts to keep an eye on.
