Mississippi State infielder Tanner Allen comes in at 73 on our College Baseball Daily Top 100 countdown.
Allen has been a fixture in the Mississippi State lineup since joining the Bulldogs as a freshman in 2018. That season he hit .287 with 42 runs scored, 18 doubles, 5 triples, 5 home runs, and 45 RBI.
In the summer of 2018 he dominated the Perfect Game League hitting .323 with 3 home runs in 65 at-bats.
As a sophomore with Mississippi State he hit .348 with 55 runs scored, 22 doubles, 7 home runs, and 64 RBI.
This past summer he performed really way in international games playing with Team USA.
Allen was drafted in the 36th round of the 2017 MLB Draft by the Chicago Cubs. I believe he’ll do a little better when he enters the draft in 2020.
