We continue our Top 100 Countdown with a big right-handed pitcher from Texas in Bryce Elder.
As a freshman in 2018 he posted a 5.55 ERA in 35.2 innings (mostly out of the bullpen) with 31 strikeouts and a WHIP of 1.63.
That following summer he had a 4.50 ERA in the California Collegiate League with 33 strikeouts in 24 innings.
Elder put himself on the map with a great sophomore season at Texas in which he posted a 2.93 ERA in 83 innings (13 starts) with 86 strikeouts and a WHIP of 1.24.
He was named a Second-Team All-Big Ten pitcher.

This past summer he tested his skills in the Cape Cod League where he had a 4.15 ERA in just 3 starts with 10 strikeouts in 8.2 innings allowing 6 hits and 5 walks.
If Elder can take another step forward in his junior season he could become one of the best pitchers in the Big 12.
