As Miami looks to get back in the national spotlight, catcher Adrian Del Castillo is certainly helping them get there.
This past season as a freshman he hit .346 with 46 runs scored, 19 doubles, 6 home runs, 59 RBI, and an OBP of .425 with just 15 strikeouts in 185 at-bats.
Those numbers where good enough for him to be named a Freshman All-American by just about every college baseball outlet, and he was named a Second-Team All-ACC player.
He followed that up by hitting .261 with 5 home runs in the Cape Cod League this past summer, boosting his future draft stock.
