MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Set for its 107th season of college baseball, Memphis announced its 2020 spring schedule, highlighted by 29 games at FedExPark.
The 2020 slate features six teams that earned NCAA Regional berths last year. In addition to the 29 games played at FedExPark, the Tiger schedule also includes home contests against Ole Miss and Mississippi State at AutoZone Park and an annual matchup with UT Martin in the Babe Howard Classic at USA Stadium in Millington.
“Once again, we have a very challenging schedule in front of our guys,” head coach Daron Schoenrock said. “With 15 games against NCAA Regional teams, six games versus NCAA Super Regional teams and one game against a College World Series participant from last year, I feel we have done that. We look forward to seeing this team compete on a daily basis with the challenges put before them and are excited to see what is in store for Memphis Tiger Baseball in 2020.”
For the fourth consecutive season, the Tigers will open the season at home when Memphis welcomes Xavier to FedExPark for a series on Feb. 14-16. Following the season-opener, the Tigers host Dayton and Western Illinois for a pair of three-game sets to close the month of February.
March will feature a trio of non-conference series at UNCW, Middle Tennessee and Indiana before the Tigers begin league play at USF on Mar. 20-22.
Memphis will host Ole Miss and Mississippi State at AutoZone Park on Mar. 24 and 31, book-ending its first home league series against UCF on Mar. 27-29.
The Tigers will host Southeast Missouri in midweek action on Apr. 1 before welcoming ECU on Apr. 3-5 for Alumni Weekend. Three more regional midweek home games appear on the docket, as the Tigers welcome Mississippi Valley State (Apr. 14), Arkansas State (Apr. 22) and North Alabama (May 5).
After two AAC road trips at Tulane (Apr. 9-11) and Houston (Apr. 17-19), the Tigers play host to UConn on Apr. 24-26. Memphis will close its league road slate at Cincinnati on May 8-10 and will cap its regular season hosting Wichita State on May 14-16.
