It seems like Stanford infielder/outfielder Tim Tawa has been around for a while, but he’s just now entering his junior season.
As a freshman in 2018 he hit .301 with 44 runs scored, 18 doubles, 3 triples, 7 home runs, 41 RBI, and 7 stolen bases.
That following summer he hit .336 in the NECBL with 7 home runs in 125 at-bast.
Two-thousand-and-ninetween was not kind to Tawa as he just .253 at Stanford with a .284 OBP in 217 at-bats, but he did increase his home run total to 8.
And then he didn’t have a great showing at the Cape Code League hitting just .221 in 86 at-bats with 1 home run.
Still, there is a lot of upside in that bat and I expect he’ll have a bounce-back year in 2020 as he looks to boost his draft stock.
