Louisville outfielder Lucas Dunn makes our list at 86.
In his freshman season at Louisville, he hit .303 in just 66 at-bats with 13 runs scored, 2 home runs and more walks than strikeouts.
He followed that up by hitting .328 in the Perfect Game League that summer with 32 runs scored, 4 doubles, 3 triples, 17 stolen bases and once again, more walks than strikeouts.
As a sophomore at Louisville he hit .309 with 48 runs scored, 10 doubles, 1 home run, 14 stolen bases, and he just missed finishing the season with more walks than strikeouts (29 to 31).
He hit .286 in just 42 at-bats playing in the Cape Cod League this past summer, while walking 10 times with just 12 strikeouts.
In case you can’t tell, I love players who don’t strikeout a ton, and Dunn may the best of the bunch.
If he can continue to put the ball in play with his speed and athleticism, he’ll always hit for a high average and score runs.
