At 90 on our CBD Top 100 Countdown is Purdue closer Bo Hofstra.
In his freshman season at Purdue he posted a 3.61 ERA in 52 innings pitched with 49 strikeouts and a WHIP of 1.13.
He built on that in his sophomore season and dominated with a 1.62 ERA in 39 innings with 47 strikeouts, 7 saves, and a WHIP of 1.38.

Hofstra did struggled with walks in 2019 issuing 24 free passes with Purdue.
That carried over into the summer as he walked 11 batters in 15.2 innings at the Cape, while posting an ERA of 6.32.
But he did maintain a high strikeout rate with 20 in those 15.2 innings.
Hofstra enters the 2020 season as one of the best closers in the country, especially if can learn to command his pitches better and limit the walks.
