Cal right-handed pitcher Sean Sullivan is coming off a big summer that has his name on a lot of scouts’ radar going into 2020.
Sean Sullivan is a prime example for what a great summer can do for a college baseball player.
In his freshman season at Cal he posted an ERA of 5.88 in 26 innings with 29 strikeouts and 4 saves.
The 6-foot-1 righty struggled with command walking 16 batters in those 26 innings.
This past summer he went to the Cape Cod League and turned a lot of heads by holding the top prospects in the nation to just 41 hits in 43.1 innings pitched.
Altogether, he posted an ERA of 2.08 in 10 starts with 48 strikeouts and just 7 walks.
If the can continue to command the strikezone like that in his sophomore season, not only will it be a big boost to the starting rotation for the Bears, but he could become one of the top pitching prospects going into the 2021 season.
