LEXINGTON, Ky. – Kentucky baseball again will face one of the most difficult schedules in the country in 2020 with 31 games slated against teams that made the 2019 NCAA Tournament, including 11 against College World Series participants, it was announced Monday.
Confirmed game times and television assignments will be announced at a later date. The full schedule can be found at UKathletics.com.
The Wildcats will open the 2020 season on the road against perennial power TCU before returning home on February 18 to open a 15-game homestand as part of a 36-game schedule at Kentucky Proud Park. The exciting home slate includes Southeastern Conference three-game series vs. Alabama, Florida, LSU, Missouri and South Carolina, as well as the annual game against Louisville and four total contests against Cincinnati and UNC Wilmington, which both made the NCAA Tournament last season.
The Cats hit the road for the eighth straight season to open SEC play, drawing defending national champion Vanderbilt in Nashville on March 13-15. They will return home to host Florida on March 20-22 before traveling to 2019 College World Series participant Mississippi State to close out March. The rest of league play consists of home series vs. Alabama (April 3-5), LSU (April 9-11), Missouri (April 23-25) and South Carolina (May 8-10) and road trips to Auburn (April 18-20), Tennessee (May 1-3) and Georgia (May 14-16) to close the season.
In a bit of a scheduling quirk the Cats will play three consecutive Thursday-Saturday series in conference play, including home ones with LSU and Missouri with a trip to Auburn in between.

The Cats are entering the fourth season under head coach Nick Mingione and have won 103 games during his three-year tenure. The program has seen 24 players selected in the past two Major League Baseball drafts, including a school-record 13 in 2018, and a pair of first-round selections in Evan White (2017) and Zack Thompson (2019). The program also advanced to the Super Regional for the first time in school history in 2017 and opened $49 million Kentucky Proud Park last season.
