BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana University baseball team announced the program’s 2020 schedule on Tuesday. The slate includes 29 games scheduled at Bart Kaufman Field for the 2019 Big Ten regular season champions.
The 2020 schedule for the Hoosiers features 19 games against nine teams who earned berths to the 2019 NCAA Tournament, as well as 23 contests against 12 teams who finished in the top-100 of the NCAA RPI rankings last season.
In Big Ten conference play, IU will host Ohio State (Mar. 27-29), Michigan State (Apr. 17-19), Michigan (May 1-3) and Nebraska (May 14-16) at Bart Kaufman Field in 2020. The Hoosiers will hit the road to face Penn State (Apr. 3-5), Northwestern (Apr. 10-12), Rutgers (Apr. 24-26) and Purdue (May 8-10).
“We’re excited for the opportunities this schedule provides,” Indiana head coach Jeff Mercer remarked. “We’ll challenge ourselves against some of the best programs in the country on the road, while still playing a significant amount of home games in front of our terrific fan base. We look forward to a successful 2020 season with a great group of young men.”
Indiana begins the 2020 season with a three-game series at LSU on Feb. 14 in Baton Rouge, La. The Hoosiers will then head to Mobile, Ala. to face UT-Martin, South Alabama and Siena in the South Alabama Tournament from Feb. 21-23.

Following the game against the Bulldogs, Indiana will head to Greenville, N.C. to compete in the Keith LeClair Classic (Feb. 28-Mar. 1). IU will face host East Carolina, High Point and Ole Miss.
After playing nine of the team’s first 10 games on the road, Indiana will play 17 of the following 19 contests at Bart Kaufman Field.
After a non-conference game against Purdue on Wednesday, Mar. 4 in Bloomington, the Hoosiers will host San Diego for four games (Mar. 6-8), Cincinnati (Mar. 11), Memphis for a three-game series (Mar. 13-15), Kentucky (Mar. 17), Illinois State for four games (Mar. 20-22) and Ohio State to round out the month of March. Among those home contests, IU will face Evansville (Mar. 10) and Ball State (Mar. 31) on the road.
