FORT WORTH – TCU baseball head coach Jim Schlossnagle announced the 2020 schedule which features 54 games. The schedule breakdown includes 29 home games, 24 road contests and one neutral site game.
The schedule features 19 contests against eight opponents that appeared in the 2019 NCAA Tournament. Two opponents (Vanderbilt and Texas Tech) advanced to the College World Series, while two others (UCLA and Oklahoma State) made it to a Super Regional.
TCU kicks off its 18th season at Lupton Stadium on Friday, Feb. 14 when it plays host to Kentucky in the start of a three game series. The opening homestand concludes on Feb. 18 against Abilene Christian.
After a three game road swing at Minnesota (Feb. 22-24), the Horned Frogs will return home for a season-long five game homestand. A contest against Stephen F. Austin on Feb. 26 will be followed by a three game series against Cal (Feb. 28-March 1). The homestand concludes March 3 against UT Arlington.
A week-long road trip follows as the Horned Frogs head West to California. For the third time in program history, the Frogs will take part in the Dodger Classic featuring contests at USC (March 6), at UCLA (March 7) and versus Vanderbilt at Dodger Stadium (March 8). A Tuesday night contest at San Diego State (March 10) concludes the road trip.
Maryland heads to Lupton Stadium March 13-15 followed by a midweek visit from Sam Houston State (March 17).
Big 12 play kicks off on the road as TCU heads north to Oklahoma State (March 20-22). A Tuesday night contest at UT Arlington (March 24) concludes the road trip.
TCU opens the home portion of its Big 12 schedule March 27 against Oklahoma.
A road trip to Abilene Christian (March 31) kicks off a four game homestand that concludes at Kansas (April 3-5).
TCU will conclude its series with UT Arlington at Lupton Stadium on April 7. West Virginia heads to town April 9-11.
The Horned Frogs will play seven of the next eight games away from home starting April 14 at Dallas Baptist. TCU will travel to Florida for a three game series at Stetson (April 17-19). A brief stop at home comes on April 21 against UTRGV. The road swing concludes at Baylor (April 24-26).
April concludes with a home game against Dallas Baptist on April 28.
Kansas State heads to town to kick off the final month of the regular season May 1-3. The final road series of the campaign comes May 8 at Texas.
TCU will close out the regular season with a four home games beginning with a May 12 date against Incarnate word. TCU will wrap up conference play with a three game series against Texas Tech (May 14-16).
The Phillips 66 Big 12 Championships return to Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark in Oklahoma City from May 20-24.
