The Purdue Boilermakers have hired former Alabama head coach Greg Goff as head coach. Goff has served as the volunteer head coach the past two seasons with the Boilermakers after being fired at Alabama. You can check out the full press release by Purdue by clicking here.
According to several reports, Goff was fired at Alabama as he tried to revoke scholarships in violation of NCAA rules. This was not the first case of Goff having run into NCAA violations as Campbell baseball was given a postseason ban for the 2017 season for using ineligible players during Goff’s term at that school.
This is a very interesting hire by Purdue due to the baggage that Goff brings along with him but we all know it is about wins and losses in the long run.
