Another player who went undrafted out of high school but has turned himself into a first-round talent is UNLV shortstop Bryson Stott.
As a freshman in 2017 he hit .294 over 214 at-bats with 31 runs scored, 11 doubles, 1 home run, 29 RBI, 4 stolen bases, and a .359 on-base percentage.
That summer he played 71 games in the Northwoods League and hit .352 with 72 runs scored, 17 doubles, 3 home runs, 51 RBI, 26 stolen bases, and a .442 on-base percentage.
That propelled him into a big sophomore season in which he hit .365 in 252 at-bats with 61 runs scored, 30 doubles, 4 home runs, 32 RBI, 14 stolen bases, and a .442 on-base percentage.
He split time this past summer between the Cape Cod League and the US Collegiate National team.
Another tall, athletic shortstop at 6-foot-3 who bats left and throws right-handed. You hope he grows into a little more power, but 30 doubles is crazy good in college.
Stott will have another big season for UNLV and could the best middle infielder in the upcoming draft.
