The last of five East Carolina players on our countdown is one of the best hitters in the country in Bryant Packard.
The first baseman/outfielder didn’t get off to a great start in his collegiate career hitting just .276 as a freshman in 2017 over 123 at-bats with 15 runs scored, 9 doubles, 1 home run, and 12 RBI.
But he put himself on the map as a sophomore by hitting .406 in 219 at-bats with 51 runs scored, 16 doubles, 14 home runs, 50 RBI, 6 stolen bases, and a .462 on-base percentage.
Packard followed that up by hitting .305 in the Cape Cod League in 59 at-bats with 4 home runs.
He also played for the US Collegiate National team this past summer.
Packard is a great example of someone who was undrafted out of high school, but worked hard to become one of the best players in college baseball.
