A bit of an unkown coming out of high school, Elon right-handed pitcher Kyle Brnovich has turned himself into a top 20 player.
As a freshman in 2017 he posted a 3.10 ERA in 90 innings pitched with 103 strikeouts and a WHIP of 1.20.
That was good enough for him to be named the Colonial Athletic Association Rookie of the Year.
He was even better this past spring as a sophomore with a 1.71 ERA in 105 innings pitched with an incredible 147 strikeouts and a WHIP of 0.89.
The 6-foot-3 Brnovich then tossed five scoreless innings with six strikeouts in the Cape Cod League, while also pitching for the US Collegiate National team.
This guy has all of the tools to be one of the best pitchers in the country. I can’t wait to see what he does in his junior season to set himself up for the draft.
