Another Arkansas sophomore that put his name on the map nationally as a freshman is infielder Casey Martin.
Somehow this guy went undrafted out of high school, but that won’t be the case when his time with the Razorbacks is done.
This past spring he helped take Arkansas to the College World Series final by hitting .345 over 252 at-bats with 50 runs scored, 14 doubles, 13 home runs, 49 RBI, 8 stolen bases, and a .418 on-base percentage.
I know a lot of undersized second baseman get this comparison, but he just reminds me of a more powerful Dustin Pedroia.
Martin is one of my favorite players to watch in all of college baseball, and I can’t wait to see how he follows up a fantastic freshman season.
