Missouri outfielder Kameron Misner was taken in the 33rd round of the 2016 MLB Draft by the Kansas City Royals.
Instead, he chose to keep his commitment to Missouri and has excelled as a hitter.
In 2017 as a freshman he hit .282 over 213 at-bats with 39 runs scored, 12 doubles, 7 home runs, 34 RBI, 17 stolen bases, and a .360 on-base percentage.
That summer he hit .378 in the New England Collegiate League over 135 at-bats with 35 runs scored, 13 doubles, 8 home runs, 25 RBI, 14 stolen bases, and a .479 on-base percentage.
He was on pace to crush his freshman numbers in 2018 before injury struck. Through 125 at-bats he hit .360 with 36 runs scored, 9 doubles, 4 home runs, 25 RBI, 13 stolen bases, and a .497 on-base percentage.
It looks like he was back and healthy in the fall going 3-4 in one of the team’s Black and Gold games, as well as 1-5 against St. Louis.
This is a guy that gives you everything, and he could wind up being one of the best players in the country if healthy.
