The 2018 season did not end well for Auburn outfielder Steven Williams as he watched a walk-off home run pop out of his glove and over the fence. But you can rest assured that he will be one of the best hitters in the SEC this season.
In 2017 he played 18 games in the Cape Cod League and hit .211 with 1 home run.
As a freshman in 2018 he hit .291 over 244 at-bats with 52 runs scored, 10 doubles, 12 home runs, 51 RBI, and a .409 on-base percentage.
The New York Yankees drafted him in the 35th round of the 2017 MLB Draft before the 6-foot-3 left-handed hitter chose Auburn.
Luckily we get two more seasons of Williams to watch his easy left-handed swing drive balls out of the ballpark.
