Arkansas right-handed pitcher Isaiah Campbell may have some of the best stuff in the country, but unfortunately, he’s battled injuries throughout his collegiate career.
As a freshman in 2016 he posted a 3.69 ERA in 31.2 innings pitched with 23 strikeouts and a WHIP o f1.33.
That summer he had a 2.11 ERA in the California Collegiate League over 47 innings pitched with a 1.00 WHIP.
He only threw 0.2 innings in 2017 as he was shutdown with an injury.
His comeback in 2018 was a little slower than he would have liked, and while he made 17 starts he wasn’t able to go deep into games.
Over 69.2 innings pitched he posted an ERA of 4.26 with 75 strikeouts and a WHIP of 1.38.
The Los Angeles Angels drafted him in the 24th round of the 2018 MLB Draft, but Campbell knows that he proves himself healthy and effective in 2019 he’ll be taken in the first few rounds in 2019.
