Following in the footsteps of Tanner Houck, T.J. Sikkema could be the next Missouri pitcher taken early in the MLB Draft.
As a freshman in 2017 he posted a 2.72 ERA in 79 innings pitched, mostly as a reliever, with 81 strikeouts and a WHIP of 0.88.
He made 10 starts as a sophomore and had a 3.34 ERA in 70 innings pitched with 76 strikeouts and a WHIP of 1.36.
That led to a big summer when he posted a 1.72 ERA in 31.1 innings pitched with 23 strikeouts and a 1.00 WHIP in the Cape Cod League.
A left-handed pitcher, Sikkema has the chance to become a high draft pick with a big junior season.
