One of the most exciting freshman in the country in 2018, Heston Kjerstad helped take Arkansas to the College World Series final.
The outfielder hit .332 as a freshman in 262 at-bats with 65 runs scored, 16 doubles, 14 home runs, 58 RBI, and a .419 on-base percentage.
He was named the SEC Freshman of the Year with those numbers.
The Seattle Mariners took a shot on him in the 36th round of the 2017 MLB Draft, but luckily for the Razorbacks, he kept his commitment.
The switch-hitter showed his power throughout the season, but struggled a little bit during SEC play. We’ll see if he can improve on those 2018 numbers as a sophomore.
