After being drafted by the Colorado Rockies in the 38th round of the 2016 MLB Draft, Quin Cotton made the decision to play for Grand Canyon.
As a freshman in 2017 the outfield prospect hit .274 in just 73 at-bats, but had a huge summer hitting .331 in the Alaska Summer League over 154 at-bats with 25 runs scored and 11 stolen bases.
This past spring he hit .390 with a .462 on-base percentage for Grand Canyon in 241 at-bats with 62 runs scored, 19 doubles, 5 triples, 5 home runs, 43 RBI, and 13 stolen bases.
That earned him an invite to the Cape Cod League where he hit .286 in 147 at-bats with 21 runs scored, 8 doubles, 2 triples, 21 RBI, and 3 stolen bases to go along with a .344 on-base percentage.
The toolsy outfielder gives you a little bit of everything. If he can improve on his power numbers this spring, his stock will soar even more.
