A bit of unknown coming out of high school, Wake Forest right-handed pitcher Colin Peluse has turned himself into a good looking prospect going into his junior season.
As a freshman in 2017 he posted a 3.54 ERA in 40.2 innings pitched with 37 strikeouts and a WHIP of 1.06.
He followed that up with a 1.37 ERA in the Cal Ripkin League over 26.1 innings pitched with 21 strikeouts and a WHIP of 1.30.
He become a workhorse for Wake Forest as a sophomore with a 3.87 ERA over 83.2 innings pitched with 63 strikeouts and a WHIP of 1.20.
He threw just seven innings in the Cape Cod League this past summer but was impressive with a 2.57 ERA to go along with 10 strikeouts and a WHIP of 1.00.
At 6-foot-3, 230 pounds he has the size and ability to be a workhorse at the next level. There is still room for this righty to grow as a junior.
