David Hamilton is another favorite of mine as I love watching this Texas shorstop play the game.
He struggled as a freshman in 2017 hitting just .218 in 202 at-bats with 30 runs scored, 11 doubles, 20 RBI, 14 stolen bases, and a .305 on-base percentage.
That summer he hit .274 in the California Collegiate League over 73 at-bats with 18 runs scored, 3 doubles, 2 triples, and 9 stolen bases with a .346 on-base percentage.
Hamilton showed a lot of improvement as a sophomore hitting .291 with a a .404 on-base percentage to go along with 44 runs scored, 7 doubles, 6 triples, 5 home runs, 37 RBI, and 31 stolen bases.
He only got 50 at-bats in the Cape Cod League this past summer and things didn’t translate as he hit just .200, but he did have 11 stolen bases.
With his speed, the left-handed hitter just needs to get on base. If he can do that again in 2019 we’ll see him improve his draft stock quite a bit.
