LOUISVILLE, Ky. – In conjunction with the release of the 2019 baseball schedule, the University of Louisville has announced a new ticketing plan at Jim Patterson Stadium, highlighted by the return of free admission for 17 of 34 home games this season.
After one season of ticketed admission for all home games, the Cardinals are giving free admission back to the fans in 2019. Louisville’s 15 ACC games as well as non-conference games against UK and Vanderbilt will be ticketed events at Jim Patterson Stadium. All other non-conference matchups, including games against Ole Miss, Western Kentucky and Xavier, will have free admission.
“Following a full review of our baseball season ticket packages from last season, we saw an opportunity to enhance both the fan experience and the attendance for our non-conference schedule this season,” said UofL Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics Vince Tyra. “While we were incredibly happy with the success of last year’s season ticket packages, the opportunity to boost the number of fans in the ballpark on game days while also engaging the baseball community of Louisville were the keys to our decision for the 2019 season. We’re looking forward to some fan-friendly weather for the non-conference games early in the season as we begin our Road to Omaha in 2019.”
The 2019 reserved chairback ticket packages, which include one ticket to each of the 17 ticketed games, are priced at $110 for adults, $90 for senior adults/youths and $90 for families of four or more. Season tickets for the Left Field Berm are also available at $50 per ticket. Season tickets are on sale now and can be purchased online at GoCards.com, by calling 502-GO-CARDS or by visiting the Louisville Cardinals Ticket Office, located near Gate 2 at Cardinal Stadium (2800 South Floyd Street) on weekdays from 9 a.m., until 5 p.m., ET.
Overall, Louisville’s 56-game slate in 2019 features 19 games against NCAA Championship qualifiers from last season. The Cardinals, who advanced to an NCAA Regional final for the seventh straight season in 2018, will host three-game home series against ACC foes Boston College (March 8-10), Georgia Tech (March 22-24), Wake Forest (March 29-31), Miami (April 18-20) and Florida State (May 16-18). The non-conference slate at Jim Patterson Stadium is highlighted by a two-game series with Ole Miss (March 12-13) as well as single games against Xavier (Feb. 26), Kentucky (April 2), Western Kentucky (April 30) and Vanderbilt (May 7).
Away from home, the Cardinals will open the season with a three-game series against UConn (Feb. 15-17) at Joker Marchant Stadium in Lakeland, Florida, the spring training home of the Detroit Tigers. The road slate also includes weekend series against ACC foes Duke (March 15-17), Clemson (April 5-7), NC State (April 12-14), Notre Dame (May 3-5) and Virginia (May 10-12) as well as single games at Kentucky (April 16), Cincinnati (April 23) and Indiana (May 14).
The 2019 ACC Baseball Championship is set for May 21-26 at Durham Bulls Athletic Park in Durham, North Carolina, while the 2019 NCAA Championship is scheduled to begin May 31 with regional play. The College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska is slated from June 15-25/26 at TD Ameritrade Park Omaha.

2019 LOUISVILLE BASEBALL SCHEDULE NOTES
• The Cardinals’ annual Elementary School Day at Jim Patterson Stadium is set for Wednesday, March 13 at noon ET against Ole Miss. All remaining special events and promotions will be announced at a later date.
• The annual Battle of the Barrel contest against Vanderbilt is scheduled for Tuesday, May 7 at Jim Patterson Stadium. The Cardinals have won three straight meetings in the Battle of the Barrel.
• The longest homestand of the 2019 season for Louisville will be 14 games from Feb. 20 (home-opener against EKU) through March 13 (vs. Ole Miss).
• Overall, the Cardinals will play eight different programs (19 games total) in 2019 that advanced to the 2018 NCAA Championship (UConn, Ole Miss, Duke, Clemson, NC State, Vanderbilt, Indiana and Florida State).
• Louisville will open the season in the state of Florida for the sixth time in the last 13 seasons. The 2019 trip to the Sunshine State will mark the program’s first visit to Lakeland and the spring training home of the Detroit Tigers.
• Since opening the gates at Jim Patterson Stadium in 2005, the Cardinals have won more than 77 percent of their games in the ballpark posting a 371-107 record (.776 winning percentage)
