Conway, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina baseball team and head coach Gary Gilmore are excited to announce the 2019 baseball schedule, which includes three home tournaments, five Sun Belt Conference home weekend series and a total of 29 home games at Springs Brooks Stadium this season.
In conjunction with the schedule announcement, season tickets for all home baseball games at Springs Brooks Stadium are on sale now. Season ticket prices start at a low $250 for the entire home season.

A total of 12 teams on this year’s schedule including Oregon State, the defending 2018 NCAA National Champions, NC State, Clemson, North Carolina, UConn, Indiana, Washington, Northeastern, UNC Wilmington, Troy, Campbell, and Kent State all played in the 2018 NCAA Division I Baseball Championship Tournament last year.
“In 2019 we have another year of great challenges throughout our schedule. The highlight of the regular season will be our trip to participate in the inaugural Seattle Baseball Showcase held at Safeco Field, home of the Seattle Mariners,” stated coach Gilmore. “The season culminates with the 2019 Sun Belt Conference Tournament being held at Spring Brooks Stadium. This schedule will be a great test for us as we prepare for the vast challenges of returning to Omaha.”
Highlighted by non-conference home contests versus Big Ten foes Maryland, Michigan State, Illinois, and Indiana, as well as home bouts against ACC opponents NC State, Wake Forest, and Clemson, the Chanticleers will have a challenging home slate in 2019.
On top of the home schedule, the Chants will play on the road or at neutral sites versus Oregon State, Washington, San Diego, Illinois, Clemson, NC State, North Carolina, UNC Wilmington, and the College of Charleston.
The Chants open up the season with the Brittain Resorts Invitational on opening weekend, Feb. 15-17, which will include a round robin tournament with CCU, Maryland, VCU, and Campbell, before hitting the road for the first time of the year to take on UNC Wilmington on Feb. 19.
Coastal will then return to Springs Brooks Stadium to host the 20th annual Brittain Resorts Baseball at the Beach event on Feb. 22-24, where the Chants will host Michigan State, NC State and Kent State for the weekend.
Following a midweek road bout at the College of Charleston on Feb. 27, the Chanticleers will wrap up its non-conference home tournament slate with the CCU Baseball Tournament from March 1-4. The four-day tournament will consist of nine games, two of which are slated to take place at TicketReturn.com Field, among Northeastern, UConn, Indiana, Illinois, and CCU.
CCU will then stay at home to host Wake Forest on back-to-back nights, March 5-6, before heading west to take part in the inaugural Seattle Baseball Showcase at Safeco Field, the home of the Seattle Mariners, where the Chants will play San Diego (March 8), Washington (March 9) and Oregon State (March 10).
The seven-game road trip will then continue with a non-conference game at Clemson on March 13, before opening up Sun Belt Conference play on the road at ULM on March 15-16 in Monroe, La.
Seven of the next eight games will come at home in Springs Brooks Stadium, as the Chants will host the Troy Trojans in conference play on March 22-24, hit the road to face off with UNC Wilmington in Wilmington, N.C. on March 26, play the return game versus the Seahawks at home the following night, March 27, and then welcome league foe Arkansas State to Conway on March 29-31.
The Chants will then venture out on a nine-game road swing, the longest of the season, which will include two games at Illinois (April 2-3), three league contests at South Alabama (April 5-7), one non-conference matchup at NC State (April 10) and a three-game conference series at Little Rock (April 12-13).
After two full weeks on the road, Coach Gilmore’s squad will return home to host the College of Charleston on April 16 in midweek action, before the Georgia Southern Eagles come to town for a three-game series on April 18-20.
On April 23, Coastal will head to Chapel Hill, N.C. for a midweek contest versus North Carolina, then return to Sun Belt Conference play with three-straight weekend series at Georgia State (April 26-28), at home versus Louisiana (May 3-5) and at UT Arlington (May 10-12).
Coastal will wrap up its regular season slate with four-straight home games, hosting the Clemson Tigers on May 14 and then a three-game league series with Appalachian State on May 16-18.
The 2019 Sun Belt Baseball Championships will be held at Springs Brooks Stadium this year from May 21-26 with the championship game set for Sunday afternoon.
The NCAA Regionals will take place from May 31-June 3, followed by the Super Regionals on June 7-10 and the NCAA College World Series at TD Ameritrade Park in Omaha, Neb. From June 15-26.
