Western Kentucky picked up a nice transfer this past offseason with Davis Sims coming over from Murray State where he spent two seasons.  As a freshman in 2017 with Murray State he was named the Ohio Valley Conference Rookie of the Year after hitting .308 with 41 runs scored, 17 doubles, 11 home runs, and 50 RBI.  That summer he played in the Coastal Plain League and hit .268 in 112 at-bats with 20 runs scored, 7 home runs, and 23 RBI.  Back with Murray State as a sophomore in 2018 he hit .357 with 50 runs scored, 29 doubles, 6 home runs, and 52 RBI.  He followed that up by hitting .252 in the Cape Cod League this past summer in 147 at-bats with 18 runs scored, 5 doubles, eight home runs, and 27 RBI.  If you go to the end of the video below you’ll see Davis hit a three-run, walk-off bomb in the Cape Cod League.
