1.9K We kick off our 2019 CB Daily Top 100 player countdown with South Carolina sophomore infielder Noah Campbell. The 6-foot, 185 pound switch-hitter was a highly regarded prospect coming out of high school. He was taken in the 19th round of the 2017 MLB Draft by the Milwaukee Brewers but elected to go to college. As a freshman from South Carolina in 2018 he played in 47 games and hit .270 in 163 at-bats with 34 runs scored, 3 home runs, and 7 stolen bases. He also walked 23 times to help boost a solid on-base percentage of .372. This past summer he played in the Cape Cod League and proved why he’s one of the top prospects in college by hitting .364 in 107 at-bats with 6 home runs, 19 runs scored, 26 RBI, 7 stolen bases, and a .456 on-base percentage. Putting up those numbers at the Cape is sure to grab the attention of scouts. Now he enters his sophomore season with big expectations. We’ll see if he can build upon that huge summer and have a big year in the SEC.
