GAINESVILLE, Fla.–Florida baseball fans looking to make plans for the spring can get their calendars out.
The Gators’ 2019 schedule is now available, with opening weekend set for Feb. 15-17 against Long Beach State at McKethan Stadium.
The home schedule features 36 games with five Southeastern Conference series’ on tap. In 11 seasons under head coach Kevin O’Sullivan, UF holds a 329-92 (.781) record at McKethan Stadium.
Florida will host in-state rival Miami in Week 2 and wrap up non-conference play at home with weekend series against Winthrop and Yale. The Gators begin league play against Mississippi State, who reached the 2018 College World Series.
The Gators will also have home SEC series against Alabama, South Carolina, Kentucky and Tennessee. Florida will travel for conference series at Vanderbilt, Ole Miss, LSU, Georgia and Missouri.
The annual “Fresh from Florida” Sunshine Showdown against in-state rival Florida State has three dates: March 12 in Gainesville, March 26 at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville and April 9 in Tallahassee.
The Gators begin fall practice on Monday, Oct. 8. A weekly schedule with times and pitchers will be posted each week throughout fall practice.
