LIU-Brooklyn got a strong start from Patrick Clyne who allowed two hits in 7.1 shutout innings as he led the Blackbirds to a 2-1 victory over the Wagner Seahawks in the opening round of the NEC Tournament. The Blackbirds will face Bryant University in a winner’s bracket game on Friday at 4pm while Wagner will look to continue their season at noon against Mount St. Mary’s.
