After being held scoreless for six innings, the Auburn Tigers roared back to beat Ole Miss 9-3 in game six of the 2018 SEC Baseball Tournament.
Top MLB Draft pick Ryan Rolison breezed through six innings for Ole Miss before running into trouble in the seventh. He finished the game giving up 2 earned runs on 3 hits and 3 walks with 6 strikeouts.
Tanner Burns was equally as good for Auburn giong 7-plus innings and giving up just 1 earned run on 6 hits and 2 walks with 3 strikeouts.
Conor Davis had the big hit for Auburn with a 2-RBI doulbe in the seventh to tie it up. Edouard Julien would later put the game out of reach in the ninth with a grand slam.
Auburn is in good shape now to host a regional next weekend. And they’ll potential first overall pick Casey Mize ready to go tomorrow against Texas A&M.
Ole Miss and Georgia will play tomorrow and the winner will likely earn a national seed, while the loser will likely miss out.
