Taylor, Veazey enjoy Foley Return
They rolled out to familiar ground Saturday, Foley Field, both wearing Bulldog red shirts. Johnathan Taylor and Chance Veazey were with family members, some former Georgia baseball teammates and their former coach, David Perno. Everybody was smiling, and not just because of the hundreds of pictures that were taken.

Auburn’s Butch Thompson: No time for doomsday talk
AUBURN, Ala. – When Auburn’s baseball team was 16-0, when it won its first Southeastern Conference series over Texas A&M without two key pitchers, third-year Butch Thompson knew this time would come, a time when his team would be challenged to overcome adversity and disappointment.
That time came sooner than he would have wanted or even expected. The Tigers went to Georgia Tech last Tuesday and lost 6-4. Then they spent 16 hours on a bus to Lexington and back and lost two out of three to Kentucky.
The No. 9 Tigers (20-5 overall and 3-3 in the SEC) will return the field tonight for the Capital City Classic against Alabama (16-9, 1-5) at Riverwalk Stadium in Montgomery. They’ll still be without freshman closer Cody Greenhill (mononucleosis) and senior left-hander Andrew Mitchell (forearm soreness).
