In an effort to seek out new experiences, Drew Bianco has signed up with the Louisiana State University and Agricultural and Mechanical College, commonly referred to as LSU, in order to play college baseball. Currently a senior at Oxford High School, Bianco saw a dream come true on Wednesday when he signed with a DI baseball programme. He is set to spend his college career playing baseball at the Alex Box Stadium in Baton Rouge for the LSU Tigers. Bianco said that it was thrilling to make it official.
Hard Work is What Lead Bianco to This Day
Mike Bianco, the high school player’s father and Ole Miss Baseball Head Coach, spoke of how much hard work his son had put into getting to this point, adding that watching him accomplish the cherished dream of laying in the Southeastern Conference for a prominent programme was exhilarating.
Baseball is in Bianco’s Blood
Bianco was always on or near the baseball field growing up. With all of his sibling playing, it can be said that baseball in his blood! Coach Bianco and Camile, his wife, are both alumni of LSU, and Bianco both played and coached for the Tigers before he moved to Oxford with his family, taking over coaching for the Rebels’ baseball team when he did.
Coach Bianco spoke of he and his wife wanting their children to expand their horizons by attending colleges outside of the town in which they grew up. He added that he had always wanted his boys to experience the world as he did, in the sense of going somewhere new and unfamiliar and becoming part of team. He spoke of needing to grow up, learning about how to live in the world while you got an education, and that it was for this reason that they did not want their kids to attend Ole Miss. They all grew up in this area, and playing under their father would not be the same as heading out on their own adventure.
The Tigers Spotted Bianco in a Trustmark Park State Championship
As punters who enjoy the college baseball markets online betting NZ and the rest of the world offers will quickly be able to tell you, it pays to pick out promising players early on. The Tigers were well aware of this, and started talks with Bianco just after his 9th-grade season, with Bianco standing out by hitting a ball off of the left-field wall in Game 2 of the State Championship Series at Trustmark Park.
Bianco spoke of them coming to many of his games, and, in his sophomore year, the Tigers told him they wanted him to come and visit the campus, and when he did they offered him a scholarship.
All of Coach Bianco’ children have played for the Chargers. Sam is an OHS sophomore infielder, Ben enjoys baseball at the University of Indiana, and the latter is one of several schools that recruited Drew, with this list including the University of Louisville.
