The DBU Baseball team announced their schedule for the 2018 season today. This year’s schedule features 55 games, including 30 games at Horner Ballpark. The Patriots will open their season at home on February 16 in game one of a three-game series versus Monmouth University.
With one of the top schedules in college baseball this year, DBU will face 10 opponents that advanced to the NCAA postseason in 2017. Among those 10 teams are midweek contests at home and on the road against Baylor, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, and TCU. The Patriots will also travel to Clemson (February 23-25) and Sam Houston State (March 23-25) for a pair of key series on the road, while facing Missouri State, Oral Roberts and Xavier in weekend series at Horner Ballpark.
Following the regular-season, DBU will host the 2018 Missouri Valley Conference Tournament from May 23-26 at Horner Ballpark. It marks the first time since the Patriots joined The Valley in 2014 that DBU will be the host site for the MVC Tournament.
