NIAGARA UNIV., N.Y. – The Niagara University Department of Athletics has announced the concluding phase of fundraising for the John P. Bobo Field renovation project. The Legacy Campaign, incorporating naming opportunities and commemorative bricks, offers the chance for a lasting impression at the home of Purple Eagles baseball.
There are multiple ways for recognition via naming opportunities at the new Bobo Field, including the entire complex, press box, dugouts, bullpens and scoreboard. Other creative ideas for naming opportunities will also be considered. Individuals, groups, and corporations are welcome to secure the naming rights, but all will need to gain final approval from Niagara University’s Board of Trustees.
The location for the commemorative bricks display will be on the first baseline between the home dugout and the press box and two sizes are available for bricks at different values. Give that special someone a gift that keeps on giving for the holidays by purchasing a brick in their honor. These bricks offer individuals, families or others the chance to forever etch their names or message at Bobo Field.
To express interest or obtain more information on naming rights opportunities, please contact Steve Butler, deputy athletics director, at 716-286-8602.
The athletics department is currently accepting orders for the commemorative bricks. Submit a completed form by Feb. 23, 2018 and have your brick installed before opening day! For more information or to secure your brick, please call Marianne DeMizio at 716-286-8780.
The Legacy Campaign’s goal is to raise the final $400,000 needed to fully fund the $2.1 million project. The Purple Eagles will take the field at their newly renovated home for the spring 2018 season.
