From Pac-12 baseball to JUCO and back: How Travis Moniot finally found his baseball fit

Heading into his senior year of high school, Travis Moniot was psyched about attending Oregon. The legendary Oregon “O” flew on a flag outside Moniot’s boyhood home. Despite potential future offers from other Pac-12 baseball powers UCLA and Arizona, all it took was one visit to the school’s Eugene campus the summer before his senior year for the shortstop to be swayed.

“When I went up there and visited, as soon as I set foot on campus, I just fell in love with the facilities and the coaching staff,” Moniot said back in 2014 before his senior year.

Former Felician star signs with Blue Jays

Former Middlesex High School baseball star Brennan Price has signed a professional baseball contract as a free agent with the Toronto Blue Jays, according to Felician College, where the former multi-position player dominated at the plate and on the mound.

Price, who inked a deal as a right-handed pitcher, has been assigned to Toronto’s Gulf Coast Rookie League affiliate, the GCL Blue Jays.
